Zinc Phosphate-Protein Hybrid Nanoflowers as New Local Drug Delivery Systems

I had a great pleasure to present a part of my research as a talk titled "Zinc Phosphate-Protein Hybrid Nanoflowers as New Local Drug Delivery Systems" delivered during the Joint 20th Nordic-Baltic Conference on Biomedical Engineering and the 24th Polish Conference on Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering (NBC 2025 & PCBBE 2025) in Warsaw, Poland. In SEM images, zinc phosphate-albumin nanoflowers at different magnifications (A-C), below is a photo of allium giganteum – giant garlic (D).

Conference on Functional Nanomaterials and Nanodevices 2024

I had a pleasure to give an invited talk about novel drug delivery systems based on nanoflowers during the 8th edition of the International Conference on Functional Nanomaterials and Nanodevices 2024 (NANOMAT2024) in Vienna. The protein and hydroxyapatite based nanoflowers mimic bones and can be used as a support for anibiotics. Such systems are promising local drug delivery systems for osteomyelitis, that is an infection in a bone.

Nano(&)BioMaterials Conference 2024

During the 6th interdisciplinary conference Nano(&)BioMaterials - from theory to applications 2024, we had the opportunity to share the results of our research. Poster entitled "Nanoflowers made of hydroxyapatite and bovine serum albumin as potential systems for local delivery of ciprofloxacin" was presented by Kornelia Bobrowska, a participant of the TIB PAN Doctoral School and a contractor in the project.

Preparation and characterization of bis-phosphonated polycarbohydrates

W czasopiśmie Biopolymers ukazał się artykuł naukowy opisujący nową metodę otrzymywania poliwęglowodanów z grupami fosfonowymi: “Preparation and characterization of bis-phosphonated polycarbohydrates”. DOI: 10.1002/bip.23607. Autorzy: Kamila Sadowska, Marta Prześniak-Welenc, Marcin Łapiński.
