In the Department of Biomaterials and Biotechnological Systems we apply and develop nanobiomaterials engineering techniques in biological processes regulation systems for supporting and/or regeneration of the tissue functions or anti-tumor treatment. It encompass producing and characterization of the materials of high potential considering application in nanosystems for drug delivery; development of the detection and evaluation methods of multilayers on the biological material; producing scaffolds. Simultaneously, our researchings are focused on bioencapsulation in aspects of immobilization including micro- and nanoencapsulation, and construction and evaluation of interactive scaffolds. It can be noted that the subject of our interest is also macrocapsules producing as the elements of the systems, especially capillary membranes undergoing partial hydrolysis or biodegradation.
